History
Russian Puppet Theatre was grandly opened on 23 November 2004 in the Russian Cultural Centre in Tallinn. In the creation of the theatre took part Russian Theatre Support Centre that works under the Russian Association of Theatre Professionals, headed by A.A Kalyagin.
The first performance was based on the fairy tale of K.I.Chukovsky «Limpopo». The director of this performance was the pedagogue of the Saint Petersburg’s State Institute of Theatre Ruslan Ibragimov and the designer was Marianna Ratiner.
The artistic manager of Russian Puppet Theatre is Vladimir Barsegjan and the theatre currently employs seven people. The performances in its repertoire are meant for children, but in future the theatre is planning to stage the performances for the adults as well.
We are planning to create new performances, aiming the public of different ages, to arrange tours and participate in the festivals both in Estonia and abroad.

Vladimir Barsegyan
In the puppet theatre he takes pride of place of artistic manager and production director, because in his young years he had successfully finished the Moscow State Institute of Culture, where he had got education in directing.
Оlga Gabets
In the theater she is both an actress and a creative person in everything that is connected with the development of theatre. She has a pride of place of director. She has high technical education.
Evgenia Demidenko
Designer, who is surprisingly light on her feet. She has finished Art school and has experience in working as a property-master in Russian Drama Theatre. She has worked as a theatrical artist in such theatre studios as “The school of jesters” and “Pinocchio”.
Marianna Ratiner
Production designer. She is dealing with the creation of puppets and arrangement of puppets’ life. She has finished Theatre School in Nizhniy Novgorod as a property-master/decorator.
Svetlana Ivina
Actress of the puppet theatre and designer’s assistant. She has finished Yaroslavl State Theatre Institute with a specialization in “actress of the puppet theatre”. She has been working in the puppet theatre since the foundation of Russian Puppet theatre.
Viktoria Halonen
Actress of the puppet theatre and designer’s assistant. Graduated from Yaroslavl State Theatre Institute, where she studied on the specialization of “actress of the puppet theatre”. She has been working in the puppet theatre since the foundation of Russian Puppet theatre.
Dmitry Simagin
Actor- puppeteer, a jack-of-all-trades. Graduated from Yaroslavl State Theatre Institute as “an actor of the puppet theatre”. He has been working in Russian Puppet Theatre since its foundation.
Roman Maksimuk
Actor- puppeteer. A specialist in children’s literature.
Dmitry Kordas
Actor- puppeteer. Graduated from Russian Academy of Theatre Art (GITIS Academy) with a specialization in “acting art”. He was a member of the troupe at the moment of foundation of Russian Puppet Theatre and participated in its first performance “Limpopo”.
